The Rooms

The Demeure du Chateau offers its guests spacious suites and rooms, all with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and the famous red tiled roofs of Grignan. The rooms are between 25 Ð 44 sq. meters and all have private facilities. There is one apartment style suite with a charming little kitchen. All the rooms have been designed to give maximum comfort and relaxation.

The Services/Facilities

The restaurant specialises in Provencal and Mediterranean cuisine, with seasonal dishes using local black truffles ("papetons" of aubergine, gratin of courgettes, preserved garlic, olive oil and sun dried tomatoes, local lamb from the Drome, peppers, olives and pistou, fois gras with fig puree, fois gras with spices, pan fried cepe mushrooms with truffles, truffle toasts, soup with truffle raviolis, cream of chestnut soup with thin slices of truffle, free range farmyard chicken with wild mushrooms, fig compote, picodon [typical local goats cheese], sage , thyme, and Mediterranean hot mustard. There is also the possibility of organizing themed wine tastings from the extensive cellar including wines from the Rhone Valley , other French regional and foreign wines, comparing different vintages and grape varieties etc. Arrangements can be made to visit local vineyards.
